Plant Sale

Big Island Association of Nurserymen is holding its August plant sale today (5-9pm) and tomorrow (9 - 3) at the tennis stadium in Hilo. Part of the proceeds from this sale go to fund a scholarship for UH Hilo horticulture students. Come support the scholarship fund and find some GREAT PLANTS! Nurseries from all over the island will be in attendance.

I just have to say, I went yesterday and this was the BEST plant sale I have ever been to. SOOO many exotic/ and rare choices!! It goes until 2 today. Aloha, Angela

Arrgh, I missed it! I got there are just after 2pm yesterday and found out that the sale was only from 9am to 2pm.

I was so wanting to find a few poha plants...

Sorry John -- I got the ending time wrong on the initial post, and actually was surprised when I found out it was 2:00.

I know Sandy Schaefer had started the sale with some Poha berry plants -- shafamfarm@aol.com. I would also try Sean Spellicy of Royal Palm Enterprises sean@rpetropicals.
