Mella, We sure do miss our Ki'oki! Some of those photos look a lot like her! (Royall probably relates to the one of the cat shedding a tube....)
Never had a cat before that spent so much time UP - on trees, rafters, cabinets, doors, closet rods, you name it- and never had a cat that slept so much on its' back (like the 'adorable' photo....)
Thanks for the memories...

Aloha, Mella. OK, so what's the whole deal with the State banning these critters? Other than a cosmetic resemblance in color and pattern to an ocelot or leopard, their size and demeanor do not seem threatening to me. And didn't you say something about them being neutered? If the State had only been so vigilant about the damned coquis!
Cheers,
Jerry

I'm tellin' ya Mella, you gotta get some pictures of these adorable creatures pouncing on little frogs! That would seal the deal. I take it we do not yet have a decision from on high, or at least, Honolulu?

Mella had told us to get a picture of ours catching coqui....unfortunately we didn't get the chance
But she was a good coqui hunter (would even flush them onto the drive for easy spraying)

Mella loved the U-Tube clip. Had to make sure shadow did see me watching.
He gets a little jealous of other kitties. Beautiful animals. Well worth waiting for.
Aloha

Carrie, Team players and bug hunters too!
We have millipedes here, about 1 1/2 inch long with a million little hair fine legs. In the fall they want in for the warmth. We also have what we call wood spiders, they are normally the size of a silver dollar, with really hairy tarantula like legs, no harm really just scare the heck out of you.
The little Duzie puts up a yowling one night about 2 AM. We fly from bed thinking someone is desperately hurt. No she is looking up at the ceiling at a millipede. Her call of alarm was for someone to do something about this BUG in her room! Well it doesn't happen that often, but enough that she has trained us to kill the bugs she finds in the middle of the night, be they spiders, millipedes, or pincher bugs!
Thanks Wyatt, you are right they are worth it, we love them so! Wyatt email me your mailing address and I'll share a video with Shadow, it a CD, we call it kitty TV!
Aloha,
