My house was tented about 2 and a half years ago. Got reason to believe the little critters are back. (Also suffered through some flying termite episodes over the summer so want to be proactive.) Can anyone recommend a reputable company for termite inspection/treatment?
Also, I heard there's a new method that doesn't require tenting...using products from orange peel...Anyone heard of this? Does it work?
Thanks in advance!
Tim

Our house seller used Terminex to tent before we bought, found out (accidently) that you can get annual inspections & treatment from them for 10% of the initial tenting (reason to get the tenting, if you want to go with Terminex, when they have a sale going on...) I seem to remember that this maintenance includes tenting if needed (I think 1/every 5 years...but this is totally top of the head as am at school w/o the contract)

We had our fixer house tented/treated as part of the real estate offer. I've never used pesticides and live a pretty green life, but I have to say that the peace of mind of having it tented (before anyone was there - it was empty) was wonderful. It felt like starting as "fresh" a start as possible (for a 30-year old fixer). Also, writing it into the contract was a good idea on the part of my realtor, as the cost would have been prohibitive after the fact for us.
