R & M, Ok, I thought that the texture stuff was put on with compressed air, but it looks like your guy rolled it. Is that true? Do youu know what he used to get the texture (paint, mud...roller type...). We are going with flat walls, as that is all I know, but the application looks interesting.

Aloha Carey, Adrian has a hopper pump on a trailer that blew on the orange peel texture
in the outer rooms. He convinced us to do a hand trowel finish in the main room, guest, bath and hallway to guest bath. So if you close all door all guests see is the hand trowel texture. He showed us about 6 variations of hand trowel to choose from.
The spray on went on in less than a hour.
The hand trowel 2days. I am amused at how consistent the hand trowel texture is.

Well it has been awhile. We moved into the house in Dec. but started having steady company from Oct. to Feb. Just got back from the mainland after a two week stay. Good to be home. We have made more progress inside than outside. Here are our latest pics. The Christmas tree pic has Shadaow sleeping under the tree We haven't got final, but it's pretty comfortable. We did get elect. final awhile back. Time for us to get back to work and get final. Check out our pics.

Aloha

Aloha Wyatt!

Thank you for sharing the new photos they're greeat! The progress is so impressive!!!

May I ask what is the make model of your cooktop and oven? Is it vented downward?

The island is absolutely fabulous! Love the color, and is that a streak of purple vein in the color, or wine? Will the kitchen countertops be the same or a contrasting material?

Too many questions for a wannabee I know, sorry!!

Hugs,

Maholo Mella and Carrie,

Aloha Mella,
the oven is a Kenmore, it is convection. It will be vented up and back through a microwave. So far we are leaning on tile for the counter tops. The purple is just garnets that are scattered through the slab. Beats the plywood we had when you visted. I'm sure there will be wine on it soon though.[Wink]

Howzit Carrie,
yup loving the space and the view. We can see whales splash from here, and with binoculars WoW

Aloha
