It's the only explination for a topic on a cartoon caracter like the "Dog" to have over 1500 readings.
That says a lot abot the blog, those responding to the topic and and the lack of interest in serious topics. I haven't posted here much and don't blog in general seems to be such a big waste of time like chat rooms, video games, single sites or porno.

Idealy one would think those fortunately enough to have access to the web would actually do something good with it.

Okay....you asked for it. A way to "do something good" this holiday-season from the comfort of one's one home.

To hell with the latest gizmos, toys, fashions, whatzits. Your friends and/or family members will remember the year you gave chickens/ducks/pigs/llamas/water-buffalos (in their names) to their fellow man forever.

Naturally there are other excellent charities out there. I'm sure others here on Punaweb will be able to offer zillions of suggestions as to how to do the world some good.

You're so right on Malolo (blows kiss). This is the true spirit, for certain. Thank you. How's the Clinton book?

Oh, and sometimes we all need a little drivvel (intentionally misspelled) in our lives. You wouldn't see me comment much in the building forum...don't find it as interersting as other ones (but I'm a good person even if I watch Dawg). I also like learning about the Elizabethan Era and English Aristocracy in general. Frida Kahlo, Vincent Van Gogh and Salvador (not Salvatore [esp. Hooligal]) Dali are among my very favorite humans. My musical tastes are very varied...love Stevie Ray Vaughn, U2, Ladysmith Black Mombazo and Big May Belle (too many to list). A few of my heroes are Jimmy Carter, Matty Stepanek, Nelson Mandela, Oprah Winfrey, Bono and very recently Jayne Reilling.

Okay so you know more about me now. I'm wiling to let ya have a peek. With all these amazing people and their collective educations, charitable hearts and love of laughter, how can it be bad to post to a squeak of a forum in the grand scheme of things with something that makes even ONE person laugh?

At least the volcanoe gets more readings!
I will go to bat for those on this forum, they have come out & helped at clean-ups, they have gone to meetings that have been posted, they host gatherings to get to know each other.
Some have passion, some have causes, some are class clowns, some have seasons, some have reasons, some are far away, others are neighbors, some are a little of the above mixed together.
It is kind of neat that this diverse group is held together by an ethereal thread...
The band at the school next door was practicing for the parade.
To all, best wishes & a reverance for what we have, and what others have given for us to have it.

I wish Hawaii County would post a "crime map" as many counties do, so we can see the patterns.

I am sorry your neighbor was the victim of a burglary. Someday, perhaps, Puna will actually have a police force. I'd love to see a "satellite office" in HPP. If were were smart, we'd fund one.

punapetah...please call me Carrie. It's what I go by. When I originally joined the forum I put my formal "Carolann" name, but couldn't take it back once I did it LOL!!! When I want to know what people are about, I ask them, but these threads always morph...it's not an insult to the original poster, but speaking for my wandering tangental (?) mind...not intentional - I just connect my own dots!!!!

been saying it for years, even looked into starting a private patrol. But it was too stressful, it's easier to raise big dogs.
