Unfortuneately Planetarium membership does not allow any discounts or free admission for this show which is upsetting to me since I payed $45.00 for free yearly admission to "planetarium show".

For an educational institution I have found them to be surprisingly kid unfriendly too.

Staff was very uncomfortable with the "hands on" nature of kids, even with the hands on exhibits. The best science and technology and children's museums recognize that families include kids in a wide range of ages and learning styles, and provide experiences all across the spectrum. For example, an outdoor covered area with a replica voyaging canoe that kids of all ages could climb on would be very educational, and provide a place for parents to take younger kids to blow off steam while older siblings enjoy the more sophisticated exhibits. This wouldn't have to be a perfectly authentic replica, but it could give kids a more personal understanding of what it must have been like to live on one. I think because Imiloa was created under the wing of University level educators they underestimate the shear physicality of many kids' learning styles, which is a shame because it is otherwise a great place with much to offer.

Lynn and I went to see the show tonight, and it is MIND BOGGLING!!! It's a really cool show, and it really puts things into perspective re: how tiny we really are. The 3-D aspect is really nice, too.

They finally decided to give members a discount for that show also.I would love yo check it out. Unfortuneately it shows at the same time every week as American Idol and my wife won't leave the house.
