konawaena middle school
#41
Damon, I need to offer a bit of a correction. I actually attended Kealakehe Intermediate not Konawaena Middle School. Nonetheless
this parent acted irresponsibly and out of control it seems like.He really needs to step back and take a chill pill.

I totally agree that school rules need to be respected.
But just curious- was there a reason on making that "no parents" rule.
Too much problems in the past?

I bet it wasn't so fun for "all" those that didn't have the "budget" to buy copies.

It's statements like these that the Public Schools are trying to sway away from.

Equality for everyone regardless of budget.

It sucks for those students whose parents may not be able to afford the gas money... or take time off from working two jobs to support their kids and attend such an event. Why create un-needed financial hardships for some parents?

I remember growing up as a single child... Sad that my mom couldn't attend certain things because she had to work to put a roof over my head and food in my mouth.

Why should children in public schools have to compete economically?

I can hear the possible teasing:

My Daddy showed up.... where was yours.... working at Mcdonalds?
