Jetted tubs
#1
The plans for redecorating our master bath are just about in place, including installing a Kohler jetted tub. I haven't bought the tub yet, but I've researched the products pretty well and have found that Consumer Reports lists the Kohler K-1357 as equal to higher priced models in terms of features and quiet operation. My problem is that the best price for this model is only available online and I haven't actually seen one. I've seen other jetted tubs in Home Depot and wasn't that impressed.

So, I'm convinced that installing a jetted tub is a great idea, I've found the model I want, but can anyone tell me how a fiberglass jetted tub looks and feels? Am I missing anything?

Well, we have the American Standard from HD, but we like it. Looks and feels like a fiberglass tub I guess. Jets work well. Didn't get the aux heater as we are off grid, but might consider adding it in future. Of course, we fill using on demand propane so probably not that big a deal to trickle the HW.

We had one and we are off grid and we couldn't get enough power to swing the jets. The generator is 2.5KW and it couldn't run the jets either. Depending on what you pay for electric, you may not be able to afford to run it much.
