A consortium of Puna groups have decided to call for a Rally for the Plan!!.
This is in support of the Puna CDP and is intended to exhibit our support of the Community Plan to the county council as they meet to decide if the PCDP is to slow-boated or fast tracked to council.
Friends of Puna's Future is in favor of fast tracking the PCDP.
If you are in agreement then you should consider this Rally as an important Puna event.
Perhaps some history is in the making. After all no previous community plan has ever made it into law...yet.
If you would like to receive a flyer on the Rally email me through this forum and I will see that you get one.
Carpooling is also a way to make this morning event fun and eco-sensitive.

Flyers for Rally for the Plan!! are being distributed this Sunday morning at farmer's markets in Seaview, Pahoa, Maku`u and Volcano.
As the rally gains momentum more help with staffing farmer's markets an and a sign waving effort on Hwy. 130 and Hwy. 11 would be appreciated.
Give some thought to helping out what is likely to be a historic Rally for the Plan!! in Hilo on July 30th. Puna speaks up!

4,000 flyers went out this weekend. About 6,000 expanded tlyers will go forth this coming weekend and the weekend after that. Thats a lot of flyers.
So far the reports from the field show rather easy acceptance of the position Pass it Now, Amend it Later. There are lots of people with questions and we hope to address those better in the next version of the flyer - which will be two sided and will highight attributes of the PCDP.

I will be leaving Kapoho about 6:15 AM on Rally Day. I can take 3 people with me to Hilo if you need a ride there. Meet at Malama gas station about 6:30?
Coming home will be iffy because it is a "town" day for me unless after the rally I can meet you somewhere about 4 hours later to come back towards Pahoa.
Lets take this parade all the way from Pahoa!
