They are now using high-tech cameras on the Big Island.

Those that know me... know I hate government intrusion.[xx(][Sad!]

This is very intrusive and wrong. BIG BROTHER GO AWAY!!!

I've heard several planes buzzing low over Leilani lately. I wonder if this is what it is...

Why would you assume that? There are countless tour flights to and from the volcano.

There have been high tech cameras aimed at the Big Island for as long as there have been high tech cameras. I don't see what's new or compelling. Anyone done a Goolgle Earth on Puna yet?

Assume the best and ask questions.

Possibly what's new is Damon. I believe this is his second scare attempt - 1st related to military.

Didn't someone in another thread just suggest hi tech camera, realtime monitoring of vehicle traffic. Now that has scare potential IMHO

Rob, most of those Google images of Puna that I just viewed, from what I can tell on the development that is going on up at our farm, are at least 8 months old. The Images are a bit blurred but we can see what is being done and when... There is a house missing that was only built about 6 months ago... so this keys me in on the footprint Google Maps is providing right now of Puna.

For anyone that hasn't messed around with Google Earth.... I highly suggest you do just for the fun of it at least.

These fly by cameras can provide real time images and/or allow authorities to zoom in MUCH closer than any Google Satellite image.

Anyone who honestly believes that the military does not have satellite that is better than google earth is just living in la la land. If you have something to hide that bad, you better hide it really well.

A tech was introduced in the late 1950s which could tune a sensor into a certain color, and it flouresced that color way above all others. Farmers could find a diseased acre of crops in a 10,000 acre field with it by color change (National geographic magazine, early 60s) Then it disapeared for 40 years till unclassified in the last 5.

Also in the early 70s, a US geodetic survey aircraft was taking readings on Puu O'. He flew a grid over Fern Forest and back to the ocean, all day long. Some genius in the back of the forest popped his wings and tail wth a .22 rifle. That was when all stops were pulled out fof green Harvest!

I have several police officers, and sheriff's officers as clients.
Since 9-11 With the new Homeland Securety.
Any time Police or Sheriff officers serve a search warrant, they use the gov. satelite's which also uses infa red heat. to search the residence for grow lights and how many people are in the house and exactly where they are in the house.
I dont say this to scare people. But people should be aware that if your doing something wrong, the technology is there and they do use it. If your not doing anything wrong then you have nothing to worry about.
Let them watch all their going to see is my white butt sunbathing on my deck.
It might be 12 noon but theirs a full moon.lol[Wink]
