For you sports fans out there I suggest that you check out the Little League World Series today. For the rest of you disregard this message and go back to watching the Olympics and synchronized swimming or rythmic gymnastics.. [:o)]

WWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOO hawaii just tied it and now has come back to take a one run lead in the last inning... Man those kids were one out from a loss and they have rallied big....... what a game!! It's not over Louisiana has another turn at bat... Behind 5-1 in the last inning... Hawaii mounted a great come back scoring 6 runs to 7-5. They will face Mexico tomorrow when they represent the US. (Guess those kids are OK with being Americans today) Louisisan will play Japan for third place.. This conclude our brodcast.. My friend was coaching on the Ewa Beach team that won the World Series in 2005 and I've enjoyed watching this years Waipio team and the stories behind them. I didn't think that they'd be in tomorrows game, especially after the 5th inning today, but they showed the "never give up" spirit that champions are made of. Unfortunately I only got to hear the game today as I don't have a TV at my nursery. I was able to watch them earlier in the week and might need to find a TV for tomorrow's World Championship. Having played and coached in this same all-star tournament, although not as successfully as these teams, I really appreciated the effort and character that these kids have shown. Great representatives for Hawaii!!! Thanks Dave for alerting us about these keiki from Hawaii.

Great job Dave. You made me care! I am embarrased to say I could have just driven down the road 15 miles and gone to see it. My loyalties were divided though -- Hawaii v. Lousiana -- two breakaway republics if ever I saw them.
