Has anyone had a good experience with a local Financial Planner/Investment Manager. Would like to find someone on BI as opposed to the mainland. Feel free to E-Mail us if you would rather not post recommendations or warnings.
As there seems to be intermitent problems with email through PW

Just curious, but why the preference? We stuck with our FP from the mainland. We deal by email, phone, mail, fax, etc. Don't see that there is any difference that we are now 4ooo miles away instead of only 600, except for time zone. I guess my point is we like (trust) our FP, so location would not seem a reason to change.

Mostly would prefer to have someone local. Our planner is retiring and since we would be starting with someone new to us, would prefer local as We prefer being able to talk face to face when possible, E-Mail, Fax, phone calls are not quite the same as being able to sit down across the table. Just a personal preference, I guess.

Searched & found this from 2008. Any more current suggestions?
