They all the same, use the same equipment and provide the same service. Go with the best price.

The folks who built my house had the land surveyed, unfortunately when I asked for a copy of the map to check setbacks they couldn't find it. Even more unfortunately (for them) they couldn't find the licensed surveyor to get a copy and had to pay to get a new survey performed. Perhaps an established firm that won't be pulling up stakes and moving on might be a good idea.

I've always gotten good service from Independent Hawaii Surveyors. But the other John is right, price-shopping is a good idea. There's a number of good surveyors.

Do you need a surveyor or a pin-finder? Big difference in price between the two. The surveyor can place pins if they aren't there anymore and their findings are legally valid however, if you just need existing pins found a pin-finder may be enough.

Hi Hotzcatz, I need someone to find the pins, yes. But I also need a clear delineation of the property line on one side and the back of my property. Everyone keeps recommending Independent Hawaii Surveyors, but I can't get anyone to call me back. And I need it done before Xmas, if possible.
Thanks,
mark

Any specific recommendations/referrals?
