Huge moondog out tonight

There is a huge 'moondog' circle around the moon tonight!

I've never seen one that large.

I tried to capture a picture of it... but it just won't turn out.

If anyone captures a picture that does turn out... I'd love to post it on my blog.

Strictly speaking this is not a Moondog, but a 22 degree halo. Check out the great site at http://www.atoptics.co.uk/halo/common.htm for a full rundown on all of the halos and other effects that can occur around the Sun or Moon. You can see it on our side of the island right now...
