Punaweb Party!!!!!!

thank you for your response. right now, we use two planks of wood to get MOM up our stairs with her wheelchair. we're going to check with a medical equipment supplier to see if they have portable ramps. i know they're made, but don't know about availability over here. will definitely keep you posted if we can make it.

side question unrelated to party
Pam, I am curious, does your son know Mark Harrington? Mark is the son of one of my best friends in the Bay Area and lives in NYC too and a dedicated activist.

He began his activism in ACT UP and is the Co-founder and executive director of TAG
(Treatment Action Group)

some links on him .
his MacArthur grant interview

not that they would necessarily be friends. Mark has had his disagreements with the community over the years.

ETA, I just read some of the articles on Joshua. You must be very proud of him!

forget about the portable ramps--too expensive from the medical equipment supplier.

can we bring our planks/boards that we use as a ramp to get mom and the wheelchair up the three stairs? if so, then we'd love to attend.

My mother is coming and is also in a wheelchair. She may be able to get up the stairs with our help (she's an amputee), but two big guys can get a chair up three stairs - no problem! Don't worry - it's all good!

This not a problem there are only a few steps and a couple of us will pick her and the wheel chair up to the landing. Please don't worry about it she will not even have to get out of the chair.[8D]
