Today I went to Hilo and found that Jerry, the shoe repair guy on Kilauea, is retiring at the end of this year. No one wants to apprentice to replace him (in his words) so as far as I know, we won't have any place to go for fixits. Just thought I would put the word out - if anyone was thinking of getting work done on their shoes better get in there soon. [
