Oh, nice Damon. There really IS a museum in Pahoa. I see they are looking for stuff to display in the museum. A good idea for the display would be any old bottles from the Pahoa Bottling Company. Long gone.

Hey Glen, Stillhope and any other's that know Leucadia/Encinitas.

Does the name Mozy ring a bell? The driving force, or at least the name, (it could have been the Natasha half of the duo) behind that funky little cafe on highway 101 has moved to Puna. These are the same folks that have served healthy & tasty food for a while now and we get to enjoy it here. Pretty cool to have a local place for acai bowls.

Devany: I believe their hours are 9-5, but don't quote me.... They're open Monday through Saturday and serve a lot more than breakfat.

BTW! This Saturday there will be a cultural revival/Grand openening celebration at the Museum and Cafe. It starts a 5pm. Lots of cool artists, live music, food, drinks. Come on down and check it out. I'll be there!! I believe this is going to be a first Saturday event... Ongoing, every month!

Thanks for the hours Lotus! I really wish I could come on Saturday, but I always go to the Waimea Hawaiian Homelands First Saturday Farmer's market with my friend from Honokaa. There are too many fun things going on here on Saturdays! [^] There is also a great dog show going on downtown.

Amazing!!! I just stumbled upon this site looking for MILK and HONEY. I have a friend on Oahu who knows the owner. Raved how awesome this place is and the family who runs it. I mentioned to her that I was going to Hilo for the weekend and she mentioned the need to make this stop. Now I can say that there is an enormous justification to go! see you there.

They're going to open up where the old Pahoa Village Cafe used to be, across from Luquins. Heard that from the Pahoa Museum folk.
