They jacked it during the fuel spike, never enough. These are some of the highest paid guys on the island. That would have come earlier except for SF competition. They think the EIS was about whales, not, the Whale foundation does the damage there, possibly driving them out of the state with their constant harrasment. Nope it was a barge they built in Kahului harbor, kind of like a EIS for road repair. But the technicality worked, surfers and numerous others are happy.

Go to the food bank early, before the waves come up and the women can get there, and you'll find them!

If they can get a contract why not, personally I'd like the troops to have some super and fun transportation, I doubt it though, it's too nice for any place that needs a ferry to let go. There are a bunch of old last legs ones world wide, and it is probably up there with or above the competition.

I assume you noticed, YB is raising their rates again 12or17%, didn't take em long did it! Must be nice to be a massive corporate monopoly, so loved by so many. Add Helco to that list, most expensive power in the nation and still loved by the people. Have the dropped any of their fuel hikes from last year yet, or don't you pay the bill.

The military doesn't really need it since they are buying 51 of these from the same shipyard.

Aside from all the concerns, just talking about ferry service, what bugged me about the Big Island plans was that from here we wouldn't be able to go to Maui. I liked the idea of taking my car to Maui and driving around.

But no, to do that I would have to go to Oahu, then to Maui, then the same to return.

You can send your car by YB to Maui, it only takes 2 weeks and R/T would be about 800$. Oh sorry I forgot, add the post Superferry price raise, of 12 or 17%, make it 850$.

And the small farmers on Maui who were thriving with it don't really matter, same the BI farmers who looked foreward to it don't really matter, main thing the surfers and tree huggers are happy. Please help poor YB, they are everyones friend!

Any one ever use the ferry system in London/Ireland/Sweden? Its a great resource.

What is up with this environmental study anyway? Where is the Royal Caribbean, Norweagen, Carnival, Celebrity, Holland America, Princess, Matson & Young Brothers study? Did I miss any? Im sure I did... Dumb. Just plain dumb.
