Last week a forum on Hawaiian issues was held at KMC in Hawaiian Volcanoes National Park. It was organized because some feel our island community is becoming more polarized re: Hawaiian ceded lands, the Akaka Bill, Hawaiian nation-building, etc. The goal of the forum was to provide basic information on these issues from both sides, from such respected Hawaiian leaders as Oz Stender of OHA, Mililani Trask, Jon Osorio and Angel Pilago. Dave Corrigan of Big Island Video News attended and has posted several segments of our forum on his newly designed website:

I know many visiting the PunaWeb forum have expressed confusion in their understanding of the issues so important to the Hawaiian people. So here is a site where you can hear the various issues spelled out as well as different points of view.
And I want to pubicly thank the people who spoke at the forum as well as Dave Corrigan for giving the content wider public dessimination. I hope some of you will visit the site. Aloha and malama pono, Frankie
