My friend went to the Hilo store today and she called me knowing how much I love hot sauce. I immediately went to the Kona store where they had a few bottles of four different varieties: Jalapeno Death, Muerte Death, Pure Death and Sudden Death. (Kona did not have the Mega Death, but Blair's have an even hotter variety called "Ultra Death.")

What I want to know is when are we going to make that batch of Hawaiian Pepper Sauce. I have 6 plants fruiting now and a neighbor with a 5' tall one full of peppers. I have about 4 more plants soon to fruit.

Did you see the Tabasco feature on Food Chanel at the other day? They use the same peppers for the Tabasco Sauce.

Yes, I did see it.
But those looked longer than Hawaiian Peppers.
Regardless, we should mix up a batch!

Carey! Great news. I have a respirator I wear for mixing glazes, that might come in handy for anyone stirring the pot.
I want to try a Belizian style sauce with some pineapple for a sweet layer and texture and carrots for color.
Kathy... I love your husband's endeavor! Great name too! Do you have a farm in North Kohala? The warning was great!

Thanks Kathy but I'm not a fan of "hot oils" because they lack the taste. BTW, his web site is wrong about the GET, it's not 4.25%.[:I]
