Heard it here.

Menehune - please call the civil defense office - they may have a siren out or fixing one near you but better to make sure than 3 months from now they say no one told us.

You might check with civil defense but a tsunami warning siren in Volcano, twenty plus miles from the coast, would seem to not be a high priority.
Assume the best and ask questions.

I'm sure civil defense can answer those questions. They test the sirens on the first workday of every month at 11:45 am. I heard the Pahoa siren test.

If one is not working in your area then you should check with civil defense and get it fixed. That is why they test. 935-0031

There are good reasons for a siren in Volcano. A volcano.
