Does anyone know if there is a material out there that looks like wood, but is not mealtime for termites?
We want our eventual home to be wood free, but would like to have the ceiling look you see here:

I'm not sure if the look would be quite right.

Have you looked at the Trex Brasillia products (available in plank & Facia) Link through to the Brasillia:

ETA: We looked at this for our ceilings, still haven't finished our plan on the finish... may not! We are working on an almost wood free (have yet to find total wood elimination...) but our house structure (aluminum framed) is so unique that we can reduce most of the wood used...
