There was a robbery in Hawaiian Ocean View Estates. Note what they were after.

Big Island police are investigating an armed
robbery that happened Tuesday morning in
Ka‘u. Officers responded to a 10:18 a.m. call
that initially came in as a home invasion robbery
in progress in the Hawaiian Ocean View
Estates subdivision.
A 52-year-old man, a 47-year-old woman
and a 20-year-old man said that three men had
confronted them outside their home, threatened
them with a knife and demanded marijuana.
The victims were able to run away; the three
men entered the house, removed a camera bag
and fled. The suspects were all described as being
about 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-7, 180 to 200 pounds.
Two were described as local males and one
was described as Caucasian. One of the local
males was described as clean shaven and wearing
black jeans, a black T-shirt and a black
hooded sweatshirt. Police ask that anyone
with information about this case call the
Police Department's non-emergency line at
935-3311. Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous
may call Crime Stoppers at 329-8181 in
Kona or 961-8300 in Hilo. All Crime Stoppers
information is kept confidential.
