Actually, my insurance follows me. I pay for coverage that allows me to drive a rental if I want and it is insured with the same coverage. I can drive my daughter's and it is insured with the same coverage. I specifically asked when I changed from Allstate to Geico and while the premium is a little higher it covers the vehicle I drive as well. I found out about it when I was with Allstate because I was renting cars for travel alot and one of Alamo's agents asked if I had insurance and told me to check with my agent to see if I had the kind that covered my rental if I was driving it. I did, and did not have the coverage. I purchased it and maintain it because when I travel I save money over the cost of paying for the rental insurance through the rental agency.
