I'm building on a slab foundation, but the living space will be one floor up. This is necessity because my house is in a FEMA flood zone being a block away from the water and only 11 ft above sea level. I will use the lower level for storage and be able to take advantage of air circulation in the main living space. As of now I'm getting caught up in the Tojan Building Supply closure and I'm stuck in the permit process.
