Is there anything GOOD about Puna?

I'll give my two cents about puna. It's warm year round, it's cheap, it's quiet, and there are beaches nearby. It's far from perfect, and there are some problems, but on the whole it's better than most places i've been.

I will say this though, i think the OP mentioned she was a teacher in another thread. If what i'm hearing is true, good luck getting a job here. no many, if any opening. especially since the budget crisis stuff.
