Kathy, there is no true supply and demand. Prices are manipulated by speculators so price does not correlate. For example, wheat prices in 2008 rose to extreme heights even though the world produced records amounts of wheat.

Rob, I do apologize, I knew the topic was barely anchored in Puna. I'm interested in the housing market crisis. It certainly is affecting Hawai'i in a big way, but I'm not sure how to speak of it in terms that relate only to Hawai'i.
