Rene -

Isn't the plant commonly referred to as an areca that is short and bushy actually the Dypsis lutescens? and the Areca nut is the seed of the Areca palm (Areca catechu)commonly referred to as "betel nut" ?

(Disclaimer - I dont know much about plants just was looking at all the pics after someone started this thread.)
