Okay, call me a sucker..... One lamb has been abandoned by mom. No amount of work and force-nursing is making her accept him, so........ yeah, he is in a box next to my bed and I am bottle feeding him. I must say that after the first two hours of resisting the bottle during the day, he is now taking 4 oz at a time. Literature says feed him every 6 hours for the first three days or so, then reduce to 8 and then 12 . Wow... that seems pretty fast to me. Seems I bottle fed goats for weeks and weeks at four times a day....
Fed him well around 7 PM. He went to sleep and is just dead to the world..... but breathing. Now the little guy is snoring! Lamb snores. Great.... At least they are little sounds and I know he is breathing!
I want to be the kind of woman that, when my feet
hit the floor each morning, the devil says
"Oh Crap, She's up!"
