I could relate to what Bob said.... I did not know hummus actually tasted good as I had only had it from one of our Puna health food stores. It was yucky.
SB made it at home with EEVO and garlic and salt and garbanzo beans (dont know what else but it was completely vegan) and it tasted awesome. We had it a now closed Greek restaurant in Kona and it was awesome. So i ventured back into the HF Store and still their hummus is yucky. I think it is the salt issue. Lots of salt is of course not good but a pinch of salt (local grown (!!) haha) is good.
Healthy food can taste good. It doesnt need to taste like you are eating a bird's nest, or thin set.
(Carol I know other places like you mentioned do manage to make healthy things taste good. What is with Puna health food stores?)
