When thieves take items, they often try to hock them. Make a list of your stolen property, ideally with model and serial numbers, and drop off copies at the pawn shops in Pahoa, Keaau and Hilo. If you haven't been burglarized yet, make that list while you still have the items and can write down the serial numbers. This will also help if you have theft insurance. Even if you don't, and the goods aren't located and returned to you, you can use this info to deduct the value from your income taxes.
I know that the above doesn't help at all with the feelings of violation that you are experiencing - been there, done that. But I know of cases where the thieves were actually caught because the pawn shops got them on camera. Good luck to you.
