I have a situation here. I'm pregnant with my second child and wanting to have a vbac. My first born was born at the waimea women's center and it turned out very bad despite everyone telling me its the best place to go on big island. I ended up having an emergency c-section. Nurses were coming in and out of the room telling me different things. Doctors and midwives were ganging up on me pressuring me to have a c section after being up for two days in labor and it was progressing very slowly. Baby also had decel in heartbeat according to one nurse but to the other she was fine and didn't see anything wrong. They ended up calling CPS on me because of my inability to nurse after surgery and refusing formula! I eventually got it after one of the nice nurses was patient with me and helped me. So anyway I've heard that Hilo medical center doesn't allow for vbacs because they do not have an anesthesiologist on site. Birthing at home with a midwive would be to costly and I worry about complications. Has anyone ever done a vbac at Hilo medical center? Do you know any doctors that support vbacs, I currently have Dr. Eric helms. Please any info would help thank you for your time.
