Best shipping company to move with...

I am wondering what is the best way to move there? Does anyone allow packed cars? (seems like a lot of wasted space in the container with the car for the price) Does anyone rent partial containers? We are planning to move very little but send the remaining things usps one price boxes but have a few bigger things we'd like to keep, to. Things that would be more expensive to replace.
