Harbor Freight has a tool that works very well. (http://www.harborfreight.com/electric-ch...93213.html) It's not all that well made and mine required some tweaking but it works great. You do have to remove the chain from the bar to sharpen it. I've used files with guides and dremel tools but this works the best and is fairly quick although the dremel type tools are quick too and are done while on the bar. If you look around you can usually find a coupon in a magazine for it making the price $29. I got my coupon from the American Rifleman. Of course if you just need one chain sharpened per year just take it to the shop.
