Pog, please take the OP at their word. The dog was on its own property. As far as you know, the dog was trained not to leave the yard. Do you also think that people should leash their children when playing in their own yard?
Please, please understand that you don't have to be right or prove your point. Leave it go and allow the person who suffered the loss to do so in peace. As I said to Obie, this is not about you. Being right doesn't make you a better person. Compassion might.
