Record tourist spending in Hawaii

Hubby and I going crazy on the mainland. We put airline tickets on fare lock while we decide if we can afford a week of sanity in Puna . Tourism must be doing great as we cannot find a lower cost, sweet little laid back rental for the end of February. Everything is booked. I had one lined up but was trumped by a request from a couple who wanted it for 5 weeks. No way would I blame them for taking the 5 week rental over my first request.
