If you own your own home why buy into insurance? I've never figured out why you would even want hurricane insurance. I told my mom to get rid of her hurricane insurance years ago after suckered into paying for over 20 years.
The house was built in the 60's and it's been through just about every thing you could throw at it. It's just a small 900sqft home with old jalacy windows. Still standing after all these years. I'm betting the termites will eventually win before a hurricane will. Even tho the house gets treated ever 10-15 years. I'd say your money would be better spent on flood insurance. Oh well. I think it's really easy to scare people into insurance. Pay up everyone hurricane is on it's way soon!
