It's true the lot sizes are small, ranging from about 1/4 to 1/3 of an acre. Although there are also some sweet lots near the ohia preserve, lots that feel like an acre.
I wouldn't characterize HS as better or worse than HPP. Both have pluses and minuses. And it's really a personal thing. I could live in HPP with the right lot, but I'd go in knowing that catchment CAN be a drawback (during those dry spells), as can spread-out lots that make it tough to watch out for your neighbors.
We have more than our share of warts here in HS, but it can be a great place in the right situation. We're lucky, we've got great neighbors and are adjacent to two empty lots.
My suggestion is get to know different areas and choose the one that best fits your personality.
