What concerns me about Kenoi, and his possible reelection, are the major contributors to his campaign. Real estate interests, developers, and lawyers have forked over some serious cash. Adding to my consternation is that many contributors within those groups are located on Oahu and the mainland too. How much of a hoot are they going to give regarding the people and geography of Hawaii County?
No doubt I'm prejudiced, but for the life of me I can't recall many examples of developers and lawyers with altruistic concerns for the public at large.
I'm leaning towards Dominic with his less money but more grassroots approach. I also kindof feel that the Big Island may be better protected under his administration.
