oink, thanks for all your postings in this subject. A few months back I took an "unofficial" gun safety course with an instructor/friend and with all he taught me and all I learned and all the practice on my firearm, the one big thing I will always remember is when he asked me, "Do you intend to shoot an invader or deter him?" I knew what he was implying when he asked. If I only carry the gun or plan to use it to deter harms way, I should NOT own any gun. He warned me clearly that the villain will use my gun on me. When I committed to owning a gun on the mainland for protection, I knew I had to use it if a situation asked for drastic protection.
