Honolii is a very popular surf spot, Richardson just for fun, bayfront for the paddlers, Lincoln Park & Edith Kanakaole Stadium for tennis, Panaewa for the equestrian & rodeo set....
Well, hopefully this is a start...
ADDED: I FORGOT! Tomorrow (or today..depends) is the TRANSIT OF VENUS, and they are having viewings in Keaau, across from the Fire Station, at Imiloa AND up on the Mauna Kea...IF YOU GET THERE EARLY... they will have very limited parking at the visitors center & shuttles up to the top, this really a once in a lifetime if you do not have a 4WD, as they rarely run visitor shuttles up to the top (these are not touri$$t $$huttle$... they are for all visitors that are able to get a parking spot... so expect long lines to get a parking spot)
