If you go yourself, the road branches off from South Point road about 4 miles from the highway; it's briefly paved but quickly turns to dirt/gravel. It forks partway down; both will get you there, but it's better to take the right (west) fork as the left one has some *very* deep ruts (like three feet deep). You hit the coast at Kaalualu bay and Kamilo is to the east. Don't go off the road as there are a lot of rare coastal plants in the area.
