That's not entirely true, although you either have to relax what you mean by "beach" or realize that actually entering the water might mean your life. Here is a partial list:

Personally, I think Kapoho tide pools are one of the best "beach" areas. Beautiful and interesting waters, lots of fish. But even there, be careful, especially if you're not a strong swimmer. The currents can be strong, and you do hear about drownings.
