All visible lava flows in that lower Puna area are very recent, 1960 Kapoho eruption for the ones near green lake/4corners/Cinderland/Papaya Farm Rd, most of the lava from this flow went towards the ocean, but its said if there wasnt a low spot there (called the Kapoho graben) to funnel it towards the ocean it would also have gone towards the WaaWaa/Honolulu Landing area.
Farther SW near Seaview/Kehena the flows are from the mid 1950s and originate above Black Sands Beach subdivision. A large part of Seaview is actually built on this flow that forked and also made Kehena beach
