Rental in HPP or HB and other Puna/BI questions

I've hiked the trail to Green Sands. I did not find it to be a strenuous hike. It is dry and dusty and can be hot but it's not really that bad. There are some nice views to be had along the trail. Do take water, musubi, and a good hat.
