yah and i feel ripped off paying soooo much for the little trees from there. never again.
Sounds like John Mood has some kind of beef with Plant It Hawaii and Bob Hamilton its founder. Bob started P I H back in 1971 and it has been a successful business even since. Mobs of people show up for their semi annual sales. If P I H was putting out crappy trees, they would have been out of business long ago. Bob also helped establish Hawaii Tropical Fruit Growers Cooperative in 1991, another successful operation. The guy is no novice when it comes to fruit trees and the people who work for P I H are all very knowledgeable when it comes to producing either grafted or seedling trees. Personally, I have purchased over 100 fruit trees from P I H for my properties in Orchidland and Peepekeo and have yet to lose one. Some of them might have been what some people would call "small" when they were purchased, but they didn't stay that way for long. If one has a problem with a P I H tree, make sure its not the individual grower's problem. It takes a lot more than just digging a hole to successfully grow a fruit tree.
