The photographer that takes those Kona gecko shots uses sugar water to get them to stick out their tongues...
Anoles seem to prefer flying things - swarming drywood termites are like candy for them, but we have noticed they also seem to hang out when there are fruit flies about (esp. around our orchard fruit falls, & the compost bin....)
