Geckos and lizards

I leave my small compost bucket outside the kitchen door (When it gets full, I transport it to the bigger compost pile) but there are always the brightly colored green geckos hanging out by it, going after the fruit flies I assume.
I have the nocturnal brown geckos too and they like to hang out around the kitchen sink and around the window above the sink. I think they go after the moths they are attracted to the light in the kitchen at night.
