That is why some lots are so cheap, or at least, appear to be cheap. A lot of tree cutters won't bid on the job if it looks too dangerous or there is the possibility of property damage. The top heaviness makes the fall unpredictable and subject to sudden wind change, which occurs about every 15 minutes around here. A few specialists will bring in a bucket lift truck to cut off the top branches before felling but that costs mucho big bucks plus they aren't going to risk their equipment to get to difficult to reach areas. This place is a biological wonderland, especially for invasive species. The general information about albezia trees state they grow to about 50 feet tall. Bull-pucky! Around here, there are plenty that appear to be almost 100 feet tall. Then, they aren't very deeply rooted because they are on top of lava, only held down by a thin layer of soil. The sad thing for some people that buy these lots, thinking they are getting a huge bargain, after clearing away the trees for several thousand dollars, find lava bubbles and mounds over the whole lot, needing at least a D9 bulldozer to make level, for tens of thousands more, and sometimes the D9 operators won't risk their dozer for fear of breaking through a lava bubble. I see this happen with lot after lot after lot. There may be lots of lots (pun intended) but quite a few are just unbuildable for any kind of permanent building.

The thing about albizia love is that it has a very beautiful flower when it blooms. That love is skin deep and blind, as love often turns out to be.
