Just had the first rain/ sprinkle in 4 days

So I was at home and it started to sprinkle and then a bit more.The rain had a heavy chemical smell to it that was very pervasive and was something you would notice because it was very strong.
I have smelled obnoxious rain many times here in Hawaii, but this was the worst
Anyone else? I should add here that the smell went away as soon as the rain did.
